An action to expunge records for a petitioner charged or found guilty of an offense, violation, or infraction is commenced by filing a petition in the circuit court of the countyin which the petitioner was charged or found guilty. An action limited to the expungement of an arrest record is commenced by filing a petition in the circuit court of the county in which the petitioner was arrested.
