Rule 8-102 - Term of Court
(a) For accounting and statistical reporting purposes, the Supreme Court and the Appellate Court shall each shall have one term annually, beginning on September 1 of each year and continuing until the following August 31.
(b) The expiration of a term does not affect the jurisdiction or authority of the court with respect to actions and matters then pending.

2017 Orders

The June 20, 2017 order, added language stating that the term of each appellate court is for accounting and statistical reporting purposes; changed the beginning date of a term to September 1; provided August 31 as the end date of a term; added language providing that the expiration of a term does not affect the jurisdiction or authority of the court with respect to pending actions and matters; and made stylistic changes.
