Section 2 - Time limit on provision of information to assist determination of pretrial release1. Within twenty-four hours of a defendant's incarceration on a bailable offense, Pretrial Services must provide the judge or trial commissioner with information to assist the determination of pretrial release and supervision, including an assessment of risks posed by the defendant and recommendations for responding to the risks through use of appropriate conditions of release. 2. Information provided to the judge or trial commissioner will be obtained through Pretrial Services' investigation, including the interview of the defendant and the risk assessment. 3. Failure by Pretrial Services to present this information to the judge or trial commissioner within twenty-four hours of a defendant's incarceration will not result in the automatic release of a defendant.Ky.
