Section 26 - [Effective until 1/1/2025] Drug Court Team Training(1) Drug court teams shall attend a formal pre-implementation training before starting a new drug court. Training shall include, but is not limited to, information on Best Practice Standards and the roles and responsibilities of the drug court team members.(2) Drug court team members who are asked to join an existing team shall attend an orientation where they will be introduced to the drug court model and receive training on local practices, if any. New drug court team members, including judges, will receive training that includes, but is not limited to, information on Best Practice Standards and the roles and responsibilities of the drug court team members.(3) Drug court team members, including judges, shall attend continuing education training at least once a year to ensure they have the most up-to-date knowledge about best practices on topics including substance use disorder and mental health treatment, complementary treatment and social services, behavior modification, community supervision, team decision making, and constitutional and legal issues in drug courts.Ky.
