Section 19 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Advisory Committee(1) There shall be an advisory committee of the master commissioners consisting of one master commissioner from each Supreme Court district and two at-large members. (a) Each member of the advisory committee shall be appointed by the Chief Justice.(b) The term of each appointment to the committee shall be until the end of the next even-numbered calendar year, or until the termination of the member's term as master commissioner, whichever occurs first.(c) Vacancies in the membership of the committee shall be filled in the same manner as original appointments.(2) A chairman and a vice-chairman shall be selected by the advisory committee each calendar year.(3) The committee shall meet at such times and places as shall be specified by call of the chairman or vice-chairman and the Executive Officer of the Department of Financial Services.(4) The committee is charged with making recommendations to the Administrative Office of the Courts, Department of Financial Services on all matters relating to accounting standards for master commissioners including, but not limited to: (a) Proposed changes to the Master Commissioner Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual;(b) Proposed amendments to this Order; and(c) Effects of proposed legislation.(5) Discussion shall be limited to those items included on the agenda prepared by the chairman or vice-chairman of the committee and approved by the Executive Officer of the Department of Financial Services.(6) The Administrative Office of the Courts, Department of Financial Services will staff and attend committee meetings.Ky.
