Rule 3.09 - Preparation of Record for United States Supreme Court(a) Request for Record. When the United States Supreme Court grants a petition for writ of certiorari concerning a decision of a Kansas appellate court, the clerk of the appellate courts will certify and transmit the record on appeal to the United States Supreme Court on request of the clerk of the United States Supreme Court.(b) If Record in District Court. When the record on appeal, or any part thereof, has been returned to the district court, the clerk of the appellate courts must request the clerk of the district court to transmit promptly to the clerk of the appellate courts the record on appeal.
