Rule 4.12 - Bankruptcy Filing

If a party files for bankruptcy staying any proceedings in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, that party shall file a copy of the Bankruptcy Court stay order with the Circuit Clerk. If the Plaintiff does not voluntarily non-suit the cause, the Court shall enter an order directing the parties to show cause why the matter (in whole or in part) should not be dismissed because of the Bankruptcy filing. This rule to show cause order shall be set for hearing on a date certain no more than 180 days from the date the copy of the stay order is filed with the Circuit Clerk or as otherwise set by the Court.
