Rule 18.04 - Specific Local Provisions

The following provisions are adopted by the Twelfth Judicial Circuit and are effective January 1, 2018. Should these provisions conflict with the Supreme Court provisions set forth in Section 18.03 above or any other provision, guideline or rule of the Illinois Supreme Court, the Supreme Court authority governs.

A. Third-party filing requirements - any and all third-parties, including, but not limited to, court reporters. Probation Departments, Sheriff s Departments, local municipalities, other units of government, arbitrators, mediators, guardians ad litem, receivers, child representatives, private process servers and respondents in garnishment proceedings, including but not limited to employers and financial institutions, are required to file electronically, unless an exemption is allowed by the Court for good cause shown.
B. Any user who files electronically in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit with or without registering an e-Filing account is subject to the same rules and is required to pay the same fees.
