(a) If the defendant fails to appear for any hearing, the Judicial Officer shall enter judgment against the defendant.(b) The amount of the judgment shall be the appropriate penalty after a finding of guilt or liability, the docket fee, plus any order of restitution and any applicable costs, fees, and surcharges.(c) The Judicial Officer may set aside a judgment entered under this rule on a showing of good cause or excusable neglect by the defendant. A motion to set aside the judgment shall be made to the court not more than seven calendar days after the judgment is entered and served on the defendant.(d) The defendant may satisfy a judgment entered under this rule by paying the clerk and providing proof of compliance with any additional court orders.(e) No warrant shall issue for the arrest of a defendant who fails to appear at a hearing or fails to satisfy a judgment.Adopted April 7, 2022, effective 4/7/2022.
