Article XI - The Official PublicationSection 1. Purpose. The Alaska Bar Association, on a quarterly basis, shall issue a publication which shall be distributed to the members of the Association at no charge. Its purpose shall be to inform Bar members of Association activities, to report trends and developments in the profession, and to entertain. Cost per issue to non-members shall be established by the Board of Governors. Section 2. Editorial Board. Responsibility for the publication shall reside in an Editorial Board of five persons, consisting of the President of the Association, the Executive Director and three members appointed for one year terms by the President with the advice and consent of the Board of Governors. One of the three members shall be appointed as the editor-in-chief by the President and the other two shall be designated as associate editors. Section 3. Powers of the Board. The Editorial Board shall exercise overall supervisory control of the publication. The editor-in-chief in conjunction with the Executive Director shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the publication. The editor-in-chief shall further establish and maintain an independent editorial policy. The editor-in-chief and the associate editors may serve additional one year terms. Alaska Bylaws. Bar.
