Rule 7 - Guardians Ad Litem(a)When Appointed. The court may appoint a guardian ad litem for a child in an adoption proceeding when necessary to promote the child's best interests. (b)Appointment. Guardians ad litem will be appointed in accordance with the provisions of AS 25.23.100 and Administrative Rule 12. The court shall specify the duties of the guardian ad litem and the duration of the appointment in its order of appointment. (c)Service.
