Rule 14 - Judge acting as such while disqualified

If any judge shall continue to act as such while there is pending (1) an indictment or an information charging him or her in the United States with a crime punishable as a felony under a state or federal law, or (2) a complaint against him or her filed by the commission with the Court of the Judiciary, such conduct shall constitute misconduct in office, and the commission may apply to the Supreme Court of Alabama for such writ or writs as may be appropriate to enforce § 156, Constitution of Alabama of 1901 (Off. Recomp.) (derived from § 6.17, Amendment No. 328, Constitution of Alabama 1901).
