Section 6-21 - Partial Filling of Prescriptions - Schedules III and IV

(a) The partial filling of a prescription for a controlled substance listed in Schedules III or IV is permissible, provided that:

• (i) Each partial filling is recorded in the same manner as a refilling;

• (ii) The total quantity dispensed in all partial fillings does not exceed the total quantity prescribed; and

• (iii) No dispensing occurs after six (6) months after the date on which the prescription was issued.
