Chapter 1 POWER Work Activity Summary
Work Activities and Participation Rates:
A work activity may be allowable under the regulation, but may not be countable in the participation rate computation. A participant may be in an allowable work activity and the State will not be penalized for illegal use of the TANF Block Grant.
To be counted in the participation rate computation the family member must be participating in a countable work activity a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week. For the two-parent participation rate, both parents must be participating a minimum of thirty-five (35) hours per week in allowable work activities of which thirty (30) hours must be countable.
