Section 26-4 - Covered Services

(a) The services and supplies specified in subsection (b) are covered services if medically necessary, subject to any exclusions or limitations contained in this Chapter and the rules of the Department.

(b) Covered services:

  • (i) Administrative Transportation;
  • (ii) Advanced Practitioner of Nursing (APN) services in accordance with Section 6;
  • (iii) Ambulance services;
  • (iv) Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) services in accordance with Section 7;
  • (v) Audiology Services and hearing aids in accordance with Section 8;
  • (vi) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) services in accordance with Section 9;
  • (vii) Certified Community Mental Health Center services (CMHC) as defined by Chapter 13;
  • (viii) Chiropractic Services in accordance with Section 10;
  • (ix) Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF) services in accordance with Section 11;
  • (x) Dental Services in accordance with Section 12;
  • (xi) Dietician Services in accordance with Section 13;
  • (xii) Developmental Center Services in accordance with Section 14;
  • (xiii) Emergency Hospital Services in accordance with 42 C.F.R. § 482.55 and Section 15;
  • (xiv) Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT)
  • (xv) End-Stage Renal Dialysis Center Services (ESRD) in accordance with Section 16;
  • (xvi) Family Planning Clinic Services in accordance with Section 17;
  • (xvii) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) services;
  • (xviii) Certified Substance Abuse Treatment Center (SATC) Services, as defined by Chapter 13;
  • (xix) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS);
  • (xx) Home Health Services;
  • (xxi) Hospice Services in accordance with Section 18;
  • (xxii) Hospital Services (inpatient and outpatient) in accordance with Section 19;
  • (xxiii) Intermediate Care Facility for People with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/ID) Services;
  • (xxiv) Institution for Mental Disease (IMD) Services furnished to individuals under twenty-two years of age and sixty-five years of age and older;
  • (xxv) Interpretation Services in accordance with Section 20;
  • (xxvi) Laboratory Services in accordance with Section 21;
  • (xxvii) Medical Supplies and Equipment;
  • (xxviii) Nurse Midwife Services in accordance with Section 22;
  • (xxix) Nursing Facility Services;
  • (xxx) Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with Section 23;
  • (xxxi) Pharmaceutical Services as defined by Chapter 10;
  • (xxxii) Physical Therapy Services in accordance with Section 24;
  • (xxxiii) Physician Services in accordance with Section 25;
  • (xxxiv) Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Services;
  • (xxxv) Psychological Services;
  • (xxxvi) Radiology Services in accordance with Section 26;
  • (xxxvii) Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Services;
  • (xxxviii) Solid organ transplants and bone marrow transplants
    • (A) For clients over the age of 21, transplants are limited to bone marrow, kidney, and liver;
  • (xxxix) Speech Therapy Services in accordance with Section 27;
  • (xl) Swing bed Services;
  • (xli) Targeted case management in accordance with Section 28;
  • (xlii) Vision Services in accordance with Section 29; and
  • (xliii) Weight reduction treatment, including intestinal bypass surgery, gastric bypass surgery, and gastric stapling.
