The continuing professional competency guidelines are set forth below for the purpose of providing consistency in those jurisdictions that adopt mandatory requirements or for those jurisdictions that wish to encourage voluntary usage. The purpose of the continuing professional competency requirement is to demonstrate a continuing level of competency of professional engineers and/or professional land surveyors.
