Section 9-2 - Approval of Purchase or Lease

The purchase or lease of any property shall require SBC's formal approval prior to the purchase or lease.

(a) GSD, with SBC approval, may purchase, take options to purchase and lease property for future state use.

  • (i) GSD may lease acquired property to a non-state entity until such time as it can be used by the state.
  • (ii) GSD may contract for the management of leased property for future use.
  • (iii) GSD may pay tax assessments to the appropriate county from the proceeds of the lease income.
