Section NR 665.1058 - Standards: pumps and valves in heavy liquid service, pressure relief devices in light liquid or heavy liquid service and flanges and other connectors(1) Monitor pumps and valves in heavy liquid service, pressure relief devices in light liquid or heavy liquid service and flanges and other connectors within 5 days by the method specified in s. NR 665.1063(2) if evidence of a potential leak is found by visual, audible, olfactory or any other detection method.(2) If an instrument reading of 10,000 ppm or greater is measured, a leak is detected.(3)(a) When a leak is detected, repair it as soon as practicable, but not later than 15 calendar days after it is detected, except as provided in s. NR 665.1059.(b) Make the first attempt at repair no later than 5 calendar days after each leak is detected.(4) First attempts at repair include, but are not limited to, the best practices described under s. NR 665.1057(5).(5) Any connector that is inaccessible or is ceramic or ceramic-lined (e.g., porcelain, glass or glass-lined) is exempt from sub. (1) and from s. NR 665.1064. Wis. Admin.
