Section NR 493.01 - Applicability; purpose

(1) APPLICABILITY. This chapter applies to all air contaminant sources and to their owners and operators.

(2) PURPOSE. This chapter is adopted under ss. 285.11, 285.13 and 285.85, Stats., to establish emergency episode level criteria and to establish programs and procedures for the abatement of such conditions.

This chapter generally follows the federal guidance contained in 40 CFR part 51, Appendix L.
