Section 97-7-10 - Payment collected in excess of the amount due10.1. When an order of support has been established and an amount is collected which is in excess of the amount due and owing on all cases for the obligor, including all current support, arrearages, fees and costs, the excess collection is considered to be future support.10.2. If the obligor owes an on-going support obligation, the future support shall be retained by the bureau until the next month's support is due, and shall be applied to that debt.
