Section 81-14-7 - Duration of Registration7.1. Persons required to register shall comply with this rule, except during periods of incarceration, for a minimum period of ten (10) years from the time of release from prison or jail or from the time the person entered a plea of guilty or was convicted prior to actual incarceration.7.2. Certain persons are required to register for life. The conditions for lifetime registration include: 7.2.a. One or more prior convictions or any finding of not guilty by reason of mental illness, mental retardation or addiction, of a qualifying offense;7.2.b. Conviction or a finding of not guilty by reason of mental illness, mental retardation or addiction of a sexually violent offense or any offense determined to be sexually motivated, or;7.2.c. The person has been determined to be a sexually violent predator or;7.2.d. The victim of qualifying offense was a minor or;7.2.e. The qualifying offense involved multiple victims or multiple violations of a qualifying offense.
