Current through Register Vol. XLI, No. 50, December 13, 2024
Section 141-75-3 - Relationship

The Inspector General is a personal staff officer of The Adjutant General serving as his confidential agent in all actions. Since the duties of The Inspector General are broad in scope and often involve the determination of the efficiency with which members of staff sections are functioning, he will not be placed under the operational or administrative control of any other staff section, but will perform his administrative duties under the direct control of The Adjutant General. Actions, reports and correspondence relating to his particular sphere of activity will be transacted with The Adjutant General only, unless otherwise specifically directed. All actions from The Inspector General to The Adjutant General will be accompanied by appropriate recommendations. The decision-making process is reserved solely to The Adjutant General.
