Section 141-58-18 - The Francis G. Ash Trophy MatchThe Francis G. Ash Trophy, first awarded in 1954 in honor of Brigadier General Francis G. Ash former Adjutant General of West Virginia, whose distinguished career in the Armed Forces spanned thirty-eight years, will be awarded annually to the winning team in .45 caL pistol competition between teams from battalion size units of the West Virginia National Guard.
a.Course of Fire, Weapons, Ammunition, and Target - same as Individual Combat Pistol match.b.Eligibility. Each battalion size unit of the West Virginia National Guard may enter a team in the match. Each team will consist of four shooters, a captain and a coach. The captain and/or coach may be firing members of the team. All members of the team must be members of the battalion entering the team.
