Section 126-151-2 - Resolution2.1 WHEREAS, Certain terms and definitions are not clear in Senate Bill 121, relating to minimum pay scales and employment terms of school auxiliary and service personnel, particularly in defining the work period for pay at one-half the State minimum pay scale as set forth in Section 8, Article 4, Chapter 18A of the Code of West Virginia, and in establishing the minimum pay for persons employed for more than the two-hundred day minimum employment term, and in defining "years of. employment," and,2.2 WHEREAS, The West Virginia Board of Education, under its general authority granted in Section 5, Article 2, Chapter 18 of the Code of West Virginia to make rules for "carrying into effect the laws and policies of the State relating to education, including such matters pertaining to the public schools of the State as may seem to the State Board to be necessary and expedient, therefore,2.3 BE IT RESOLVED, That the minimum monthly pay for each auxiliary and service employee whose employment is for a period of three and one-half hours per day shall be at least one-half the amount set forth in the "State Minimum Pay Scale" in Section 8, Article 4, Chapter 18A of the Code and,2.4 BE IT RESOLVED, That auxiliary and service personnel employed in the same job classification for more than the two-hundred day minimum employment term, shall be paid for such additional employment at a daily rate no less than the daily rate paid for the two-hundred day minimum employment term, and2.5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That for determining years of employment for pay purposes, each auxiliary and service employee shall be granted one year's employment credit .for each year prior to July 1, 1973, in which he/she worked a minimum of 100 days and for each year subsequent to July 1, 1973, in which he/she worked a minimum of 133 days.W.
