Section 126-114-1 - General

1.1. Scope. -- This legislative rule establishes the process for developing, implementing, and receiving West Virginia Board of Education (WVBE) approval to operate an educator preparation program (EPP) leading to West Virginia licensure in an institution of higher education (IHE).

1.2. Authority. -- W. Va. Constitution, Article XII, §2; and W. Va. Code §§ 18-2-5, 18A-3-1, 18A-3-la, 18A-3-2, and 18A-3-10.

1.3. Filing Date. "November 8, 2023.

1.4. Effective Date. "December 11, 2023.

1.5. Repeal of Former Rule. " This legislative rule amends W. Va. 12GCSR114, Policy 5100, Approval of Educator Preparation Programs (Policy 5100), filed January 13, 2022, and effective February 14, 2022.
