Section 126-94-13 - Request to Amend Education Records13.1. The parent of a student or an eligible student who believes that information contained in the education records of the student is inaccurate, misleading, or violates the privacy rights of the student may request the educational agency or institution to amend the record.13.2. The educational agency or institution shall decide whether to amend the educational records of the student in accordance with the request within a reasonable period of time after it receives the request.13.3. If the educational agency or institution decides not to amend the record as requested, it shall inform the parent of the student or the eligible student of the refusal and of the right to a hearing under section 14.W.
