Section 480-15-565 - Motor vehicle identification(1)(a) A household goods carrier must display its permit name and number, as registered with the commission, on both sides of the self-propelled motor vehicle.(b) The markings must be: (i) Legible, during daylight hours, from 50 feet while the motor vehicle is not moving.(ii) In a color that contrasts with the background color of the motor vehicle.(iii) Permanent. Exception: Carriers may use temporary markings on vehicles when operated under a lease, when the rental agreement or lease has a term of 30 days or less.(2) All carriers must display the U.S. Department of Transportation identification number on both sides of self-propelled motor vehicles.Wash.
