Section 36-12-364 - Rule exceptions boxing bouts
(1) If boxing events involving world championships are held, in addition to chapter 36-12 WAC, the department may use the Unified Championship Rules as adopted by the World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council, World Boxing Organization, and International Boxing Federation, or rules established by any other professional boxing organization that afford a similar level of safety to participants. A copy of any world championship boxing rules used by the department may be obtained through correspondence to the Washington state department of licensing.
(2) In the interest of ensuring the safety and welfare of the participants, in addition to chapter 36-12 WAC, the department may use the Regulatory Guidelines as adopted by the Association of Boxing Commissions during the conduct of a boxing event.
