Section 296-32-22520 - Remote communication sites
(1) During travel and access to remote locations the employer must ensure employees have emergency survival equipment during adverse weather conditions, i.e., winter/extreme winds, which may include, but not be limited to:
(a) Potable water and food.
(b) Reliable communication plan.
(2) The number of first-aid kits and supplies must reflect the degree of isolation, the number of employees, and the hazards reasonably anticipated at the worksite.

Notes: * The following should be considered as first-aid supplies required when working at remote sites:
- Gauze pads (at least 4 x 4 inches).
- Two large gauze pads (at least 8 x 10 inches).
- Box adhesive bandages (band-aids).
- One package gauze roller bandage at least 2 inches wide.
- Two triangular bandages.
- Wound cleaning agent such as sealed moistened towelettes.
- Scissors.
- At least one blanket.
- Tweezers.
-Adhesive tape.
- Latex gloves.
- Resuscitation equipment such as resuscitation bag, airway, or pocket mask.
- Two elastic wraps.
- Splint.
- Stretcher.

(3) The employer must maintain the contents of each first-aid kit in a serviceable condition.
