Section 296-307-65022 - Make sure entrants know the hazardous conditions and their duties The employer must make sure that all entrants:
(1) Know the hazards they may face during entry, including the mode, signs or symptoms, and results of exposure to the hazards.(2) Use equipment properly.(3) Communicate with the attendant as necessary so the attendant can: (a) Monitor entrant status.(b) Alert entrants of the need to evacuate.(4) Alert the attendant whenever either of these situations exist: (a) A warning sign or symptom of exposure to a dangerous situation such as, behavioral changes, euphoria, giddiness potentially from lack of oxygen or exposure to solvents.(b) A prohibited condition.(5) Exit from the permit-required confined space as quickly as possible when one of the following occurs: (a) The attendant or entry supervisor gives an order to evacuate.(b) The entrant recognizes any warning sign or symptom of exposure to a dangerous situation.(c) The entrant detects a prohibited condition.(d) An evacuation alarm is activated.Wash.
