A racing association must provide starting point markers and distance poles in a size and position that is clearly seen from the stewards' stand. The starting point markers and distance poles must be marked as follows:
1/4 Poles | Red and White Horizontal Stripes |
1/8 Poles | Green and White Horizontal Stripes |
1/16 Poles | Black and White Horizontal Stripes |
