Section 246-244-170 - Radioactive contamination control(1) During efforts to recover a sealed source lodged in the well, the licensee shall continuously monitor, with an appropriate radiation detection instrument, the circulating fluids from the well to check for contamination resulting from damage to the sealed source.(2) If the licensee detects evidence that the sealed source has ruptured or licensed materials have caused contamination, it shall initiate required emergency procedures.(3) If contamination results from the use of licensed material in well-logging operations, the licensee shall decontaminate all work areas, equipment, and unrestricted areas to levels deemed appropriate by the department.Wash.
