Section 246-232-020 - Types of licenses Licenses for radioactive material are of two types: General and specific.
(1) A general license is provided by regulation and grants authority to a person for certain activities involving radioactive material, and is effective without filing an application with the department or issuance of licensing documents to a particular person. However, registration or the filing of a certificate with the department may also be required by the particular general license. The general licensee is subject to all other applicable rules and any limitations of the general license.(2) The department issues a specific license to a named person, after review and approval of an application . The licensee is subject to all applicable rules, including chapter 246-235 WAC, Radioactive materials - Specific licenses, and any limitations specified in the specific license. Wash. Admin.
