Section 170-295-7030 - Attendance records

Licensees must keep daily attendance records.

(1) The parent or other person authorized by the parent to take the child to or from the center must:
(a) Sign in the child on arrival and sign out the child at departure, using their full signature and writing the time of arrival and departure; or
(b) Record the child's attendance using an electronic system if used by the licensee under WAC 170-295-7032;
(2) When the child leaves the center to attend school or participate in off-site activities as authorized by the parent, the licensee or staff must sign out the child, and sign in the child on return to the center; and
(3) Paper and electronic attendance records and invoices for state subsidized children must be kept on the premises for at least five years after the child leaves the licensee's care as provided in WAC 170-300-0465.
