Section 110-50-0090 - May the department grant an exception to the length of stay in voluntary placement?(1) The DCFS regional administrator or the regional administrator's designee may grant exceptions to the one hundred eight-day limit on voluntary placements only: (a) If the department conducts an administrative review fulfilling the requirements of Title 42, United States Code (U.S.C.), chapter 675, section 475, and the review chairperson recommends continuation of voluntary placement; and(b) If a specific date within six months is scheduled for the child to return home; or(c) The child is seventeen years of age or older.(2) Exceptions which cause the child to remain in care for longer than twelve months require a court review hearing that meets the dispositional and permanency plan hearing requirements of 42 U.S.C. 675, section 475.Wash.
