Section R746-510-1 - Authority and PurposeA. Authority -- This rule is authorized by 54-8b-10(5)(c) which requires the Public Service Commission to adopt rules in accordance with its responsibilities.B. Purpose -- The purpose of this rule is to establish uniform administrative requirements for the distribution of funds from the telephone surcharge to be awarded by contract to institutions within the state system of higher education, or to the Division of Services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, for training persons to qualify as certified interpreters for deaf, hard of hearing or severely speech impaired persons, pursuant to 54-8b-10(5)(b)(vi).Utah Admin.
