Section R444-14-2 - Definitions(1) "Analyte" means a substance, organism, physical parameter, property, or chemical constituent for which an environmental sample is being analyzed.(2) "Approved" means the determination by the program that a certified laboratory may analyze for an analyte under this rule. (3) "Certification" means scope and certificate issued by the accreditation body to a laboratory.(4) "Laboratory" means an organization and facility established for testing samples.(5) "Method" means a body of procedures and techniques for performing an activity, systematically presented in the order in which they are to be executed within a laboratory setting.(6) "NELAP" means National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program.(7) "Program" means Utah Environmental Certification Program as administered by the Department of Health.
