Section R251-714-4 - Investigations of Offender Sexual Assaults(1) An investigator trained in the investigation of sex crimes shall conduct the investigation of an offender sexual assault.(2) The investigation shall include: (a) using a forensic rape kit, if appropriate;(b) questioning suspects and witnesses; and(c) gathering and preserving relevant evidence.(3) The Department shall: (a) collect and report data regarding allegations of sexual assault from each correctional facility in accordance with the federal Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003, Pub. L 108-79, as amended; and(b) annually report the data described in Subsection R251-714-4(3)(a) to the Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Interim Committee.Utah Admin. Code R251-714-4
