Section 817.31 - Child Actor Authorization(a) A child under 14 years of age may be employed in Texas as a child actor only by compliance with the provisions of this subchapter.(b) Every person applying for child actor authorization must submit:(1) an application for authorization on a form provided by the Agency and signed by a parent, guardian, or person having custody of the child;(3) a photograph that complies with § 817.5 of this chapter.(c) An authorization is effective when issued and expires when the child reaches 14 years of age unless the Agency establishes a shorter time period. Lost authorization certificates may be reissued upon new application.40 Tex. Admin. Code § 817.31
