Section 800.300 - Definitions The following words and terms, when used in this subchapter, shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) Interested Parties--Respondents in connection with the Solicitation, evaluation, or award that is being protested.(2) Protestant--A Respondent Vendor that submits a protest under the Agency Vendor Protest Procedures.(3) Respondent--A Vendor that submits an offer or proposal in response to an Agency Solicitation.(4) Solicitation--A document, such as an Invitation for Bids, Request for Offers, Request for Proposals, or Request for Qualifications that contains a request for responses from Vendors to provide specified goods and services. The term also refers to the process of obtaining responses from Vendors to provide specified goods and services.(5) Vendor--A potential provider of goods or services to the Agency.40 Tex. Admin.
