Section 29.5 - Service of Notice of Hearing for Contested Cases-Motor Carrier(a) A notice of hearing shall be served on a respondent who is a motor carrier that is registered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by personal delivery at: (1) the last known address as reflected in the records or investigation of the department, or(2) an alternative address specified in writing to the department by the respondent or the respondent's authorized representative after receipt of a notice of claim under § 4.17 of this title (relating to Notification and Hearing Processes), or(3) the address registered by the motor carrier with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.(b) A notice of hearing shall be served on a person who is an unregistered motor carrier or other person subject to administrative penalties under Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 644, by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by personal delivery, and addressed to the last known address of the motor carrier or other person as reflected in the records of investigation of the department.(c) A notice of hearing shall be served on a person who holds a commercial driver's license and is subject to administrative penalties under Texas Transportation Code, Chapter 644, by serving the notice on the last known address provided to the department or other governmental authority that issued the license by certified mail, return receipt requested, or personal delivery.37 Tex.
