Section 26.27 - Policies for Development in Coastal Hazard Areas(a) Subdivisions participating in the National Flood Insurance Program shall adopt ordinances or orders governing development in special hazard areas under Texas Water Code, Chapter 16, Subchapter I, and Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 240, Subchapter Z, that comply with construction standards in regulations at Code of Federal Regulations, Title 44, Parts 59 - 60, adopted pursuant to the National Flood Insurance Act, 42 United States Code Annotated, §§4001 et seq.(b) Pursuant to the standards and procedures under the Texas Natural Resources Code, Chapter 33, Subchapter H, the GLO shall adopt or issue rules, recommendations, standards, and guidelines for erosion avoidance and remediation and for prioritizing critical erosion areas.31 Tex.
