Section 330.209 - Storage Requirements(a) All solid waste shall be stored in such a manner that it does not constitute a fire, safety, or health hazard or provide food or harborage for animals and vectors, and shall be contained or bundled so as not to result in litter. It shall be the responsibility of the occupant of a residence or the owner or manager of an establishment to utilize storage containers of an adequate size and strength, and in sufficient numbers, to contain all solid waste that the residence or establishment generates in the period of time between collections.(b) An on-site storage area for source-separated or recyclable materials should be provided that is separate from a transfer station or process area. Control of odors, vectors, and windblown waste from the storage area shall be maintained.(c) For the process area of transfer stations that recover material from solid waste that contains putrescibles and for liquid waste processing units, processed and unprocessed waste and recycled materials shall be stored in an enclosed building, vessel, or container.30 Tex.
