Section 231.61 - Mathematics, Grades 6-8

An assignment in a departmentalized classroom for Mathematics, Grades 6-8, for a holder of a valid elementary, secondary, or all-level certificate is allowed with one of the following certificates.

(1) Bilingual Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(2) Bilingual Generalist: Grades 4-8.
(3) Core Subjects: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(4) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(5) Core Subjects: Grades 4-8.
(6) Core Subjects with Science of Teaching Reading: Grades 4-8.
(7) Elementary Mathematics (Grades 1-8). A teacher holding an Elementary Mathematics (Grades 1-8) certificate may teach Algebra I at the middle school level for high school graduation credit.
(8) Elementary teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in mathematics.
(9) English as a Second Language Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(10) English as a Second Language Generalist: Grades 4-8.
(11) Generalist: Early Childhood-Grade 6 (Grade 6 only).
(12) Generalist: Grades 4-8.
(13) Grades 6-12 or Grades 6-8--Mathematics.
(14) Junior High School or High School--Mathematics.
(15) Junior High School or High School--Mathematical Science, Composite.
(16) Legacy Master Mathematics Teacher (Grades 4-8).
(17) Legacy Master Mathematics Teacher (Grades 8-12) (Grade 8 only).
(18) Mathematics: Grades 4-8. A teacher holding a Mathematics: Grades 4-8 certificate may teach Algebra I at the middle school level for high school graduation credit.
(19) Mathematics: Grades 7-12 (Grades 7 and 8 only).
(20) Mathematics: Grades 8-12 (Grade 8 only).
(21) Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 6-12.
(22) Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 8-12 (Grade 8 only).
(23) Mathematics/Science: Grades 4-8.
(24) Physics/Mathematics: Grades 7-12 (Grades 7 and 8 only).
(25) Physics/Mathematics: Grades 8-12 (Grade 8 only).
(26) Secondary Mathematics (Grades 6-12).
(27) Secondary or all-level teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in mathematics.
