Section 20.281 - Special Session Report by Certain Officeholders(a) A statewide officeholder or member of the legislature who accepts a political contribution during the period that begins on the date the governor signs a proclamation calling a special legislative session and ends on the date of final adjournment must file a special session report.(b) A special session report is a report of contributions only, not expenditures. Expenditures made during the period covered by a special session report are required to be reported in the next applicable sworn report of contributions and expenditures.(c) Contributions reported in a special session report are required to be reported in the next applicable sworn report of contributions and expenditures.(d) A special session report must be filed with the commission no later than the 30th day after the date of final adjournment of the special session.(e) A determination to accept or refuse a political contribution received during the period covered by a special session report shall be made no later than the third day after the date the contribution is received.(f) A contribution that is refused under subsection (e) of this section must be returned no later than the 30th day after the date of final adjournment. A contribution not returned by that date will be deemed accepted.(g) An officeholder is not required to file a separate special session report if another report is due not later than the 10th day after the date a report required under this section would be due.1 Tex.
