Section 12.25 - Subpoenas Issued by Commission(a) A subpoena issued under § 571.137 of the Government Code shall specify the date, time, place, and manner for execution of the subpoena.(b) A subpoena issued under section 571.137 of the Government Code that requires a person to provide testimony shall be served on that person at least 10 business days before the date the subpoena is to be executed.(c) A subpoena sought by commission staff under section 571.137(a) of the Government Code must be requested in writing and may be approved and issued by the unanimous agreement of the chair and vice chair. If either the chair or vice chair does not approve the request, then staff may seek approval through a vote of the commission, in which case the subpoena will be issued upon the affirmative vote of five commissioners.1 Tex.
