Section 1680-01-01-.06 - REPORTING ACCIDENTS(1) Accident reports made by air carriers in compliance with these regulations shall be for the information of the Bureau, and shall not be open to public inspection.(2)(a) Every common carrier by air shall mail to the Tennessee Bureau of Aeronautics, Nashville, Tennessee 37217, a report in writing as to every accident in which any aircraft operated by him is involved in and from which there results the death of any person, personal injury requiring medical attention or property damage to an apparent extent amounting to $100 or more, within 10 days after the date of such accident. Such reports shall include the following information:1. Date, hour, and exact location of the accident; a brief description of circumstances of the accident.2. Name and address of the reporting carrier; and signature and title of person making report;3. Type of aircraft involved;4. Number of persons killed or injured, with statement as to whether injuries are of serious or minor nature; and5. Estimated amount of property damage.(b) A further detailed report as to each reportable accident shall be furnished promptly by the air carrier upon demand.(c) Whenever the death of any person results from such accident after the time the carrier submits report of the accident, as required by Paragraphs (a) and (b) of this section, notice of such death shall be given by the carrier in writing to the Bureau, as soon as such death is known to the carrier, with sufficient information to identify the accident from which the death resulted.(d) Every carrier shall make available to the duly authorized representative or representatives of the Bureau, all records which in any way pertain to any reportable accident and shall afford all reasonable assistance in the investigation of any such accident.Tenn.
