Section 1180-05-.03 - NECESSITY OF LICENSURE(1) Prior to the engagement of the practice as a licensed behavior analyst or licensed assistant behavior analyst in Tennessee, a person must hold a current Tennessee license unless exempted from licensure pursuant to T.C.A. § 63-11-306.(2) It is unlawful for any person who is not licensed in the manner prescribed in T.C.A. §§ 63-11-301, et seq. to represent himself as a licensed behavior analyst or licensed assistant behavior analyst or to hold himself out to the public as being licensed by means of using a title on signs, mailboxes, address plates, stationery, announcements, telephone listings, calling cards, or other instruments of professional identification.(3) Use of Titles - Any person who possesses a valid, unsuspended and unrevoked behavior analyst license issued by the Committee has the right to use the title "Licensed Behavior Analyst" and to practice applied behavior analysis, as defined in T.C.A. § 63-11-302. Any person who possesses a valid, unsuspended and unrevoked assistant behavior analyst license issued by the Committee has the right to use the title "Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst" as applicable, and to practice applied behavior analysis under supervision, as defined in T.C.A. § 63-11-302.Tenn.
