Section 1130-01-.08 - EXAMINATIONS
(1) Licensure Examination - With the exception of applicants qualified pursuant to Rule 1130-01-.05(2) all persons intending to apply for licensure as a P.A. in Tennessee must successfully complete an examination pursuant to this Rule. Such examination must be completed prior to application for permanent licensure. Evidence of successful completion must be submitted by the examining agency directly to the Committee Administrative Office as part of the application process contained in Rule 1130-01-.05.
(a) The Committee and Board adopt the N.C.C.P.A. examination or its successor examination as its licensure examination. Successful completion of examination is a prerequisite to licensure pursuant to Rule 1130-01-.04(1)(b).
(b) The Committee and Board adopt the N.C.C.P.A. determination as to the passing score on its examination.
(c) Application for and fees necessary to take the N.C.C.P.A. examination must be sent to the N.C.C.P.A. and not the Committee.
(2) Submission of any document or set of documents required by this rule or submission of verification of the authenticity, validity and accuracy of the content of any document or set of documents required by this rule directly from the FCVS to the Committee's Administrative Office shall be deemed to be submission of originals of those documents or sets of documents by the issuing institution(s).
