Field constructed tanks and airport hydrant systems must comply with the requirements contained in 40 C.F.R. § 280 Subpart K as published at 80 FR (July 15, 2015). Any tank system installed after October 15, 2018, must meet these requirements at the time of installation. Tank systems installed prior to October 15, 2018, must comply with leak detection, operation and maintenance requirements by October 15, 2021.
